Doula Services
Throughout history women have been giving birth with midwives along side with their
aunts, mothers, sisters, and experienced elders; basically a community of women. They all gave support, love, encouragement and experience to the brand new mother. We have moved into the age where a lot of women are missing that community aspect. The word Doula translates to a woman who serves, she gives the mother to be emotional, mental and physical support, throughout prenatal, labor and delivery, and the postpartum period. Along with this she provides the mother with evidence based information, so that she can make informed decisions for her and her baby.
Having a doula has been linked to lower cesarean rates, less medical interventions, and more positive birth and postpartum experiences.
At Labor and Love, we believe your partner’s role is significant, and we will support and include your partner as well. Prenatally we will give your partner all the education and tools they will need to support you and care for you and baby. We will work with your family and friends to build the best support team for your labor, recovery, and postpartum.
Doulas are for all moms! At Labor and Love we support moms in all types of birth methods.
Doulas can support moms during the prenatal period, labor, delivery (Unmedicated, Medicated, or C-Section). All birth is beautiful and we want the best for you and your birth experience.
Jazmin is a Trained and certified Doula who is passionate about supporting growing families
during their birth experience and postpartum periods. She is also a nanny, newborn care
provider, and early childhood educator. Jazmin believes all moms deserve a little care and
